Vifor Pharma is one of the 7 pharmaceutical companies (Celgene – Baxalta – Medtronic Kyphon – Glenmark Pharmaceuticals – B. Braun – Ferring) who successfully participated in a pilot training project with the canton Neuchatel and the IMT School in the French part of Switzerland.
The goal was to offer a specific training for the future operators in the pharmaceutical sector in Switzerland.
The candidates who joined the project were unemployed or in a professional reconversion and highly motivated to take the next step in their new career.
Theoretical courses were closely connected with practical internships within the pharmaceutical companies involved in this project. The candidates were trained about all the different aspects of the pharmaceutical environment in manufacturing and packaging fields (GMP, security rules, processes, etc.).
A position as an Operator in the production is a good opportunity to enter the pharmaceutical sector and could offer various development opportunities within a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Given the success of this pilot, the project might be renewed and extended for 2017.
