Hello, my name is Alina, I am originally from Germany and I joined Vifor Pharma in September 2019 in the Talent Acquisition Team.
I joined Vifor Pharma through the Student of the Year challenge, where I had to submit their business case. I was successful and won a three-month paid traineeship at Vifor Pharma.
What I like most about working at Vifor Pharma is the great spirit and the amazing teamwork. I am able to learn a lot about the business and the different departments, and how they are working together.
My daily task is to support the HR department with the recruitments. This means that I am preselecting CV’s for the recruiters and that I also do phone calls and attend physical interviews. I also participate in projects to optimise internal processes.
In our department teamwork is very important. Whenever somebody has a question, we are very happy to help each other and because we are sitting in an open space, it is very easy to walk over and to talk to the colleagues.
My advice to other students is to be curious, to be open and to apply for different roles. In my case, I studied industrial engineering and I am now working in the HR department where I can also bring in my experience and knowledge and gain other skills.
